But I was just wondering if it were to happen I am probloby going back to stock (I'm rooted ebo1) but I still need a tethering solution. First is there one for unrooted phones that doesn't block you eventually? And second if there isn't is someone going to package it up like ebo1?

You might be jumping the gun here a little. Rumors have been circulating for over 6 months now with no actual sign of it happening. There are multiple Galaxy S phones and so far the Fascinate is the one that has fallen off the planet thanks to Verizon/Samsung. If it does happen you can almost certainly bet that the coders will repackage it and offer other ROMs. Don't get ahead of yourself yet though.
