Is this actually gingerbread? Has the same file version in the title as 2.2.2.

Be Completely Bone Stock, Rename It To Update.zip Not Update.zip.zip.

Then Head Into The Stock Recovery And Apply Update.zip.

This Is Gingerbread I Already Dug Thru And Found The Build.Prop File.

Just letting you know I went to the link but it says it is in private so only the account holder who uploaded can download the file. In other words can't download it.

I honestly don't know lol. You can if you want but I don't even know if I want the update until its rootable. I have been deciding if I want gingerbread or not since I use scripts to keep everything fine.

I forgot how long it takes for the phone to restart without supercharger since I uprooted my phone for a few minutes and I couldn't stand it.

Im debating if I care about tethering as 60KBps unstable kinda sucks and next week im going to get sprints 4g mobile broadband internet service since Verizon sucks where I live now. 2 cell towers under a mile and half and constantly at 1x and two bars signal strength bs annoyance. Im not leaving Verizon im just going to have two wireless contracts. Verizon for phone and 3g for on the go and sprint at home for.my laptop.

So im not sure if I would download it but im sure there are others who would and maybe with this soak gingerbread there maybe a chance to root it easier don't know how true that statement is.

I un-froze everything (only uninstalled Let's Golf, NFS, and NFL Mobile) and tried to install the update...crapped out halfway through. Did a factory reset and then my phone says no update available. Restored back to an old backup and then unrooted thinking that might be the problem, still nada, failed halfway through. Finally sbf'ed back to stock and phone is saying no update available. This is getting quite frustrating.

I didn't download the update from the Mediafire link because I had it being pushed to me, and now the new Rapidshare link you apparently have to pay for a Pro account to download it? ...sigh

Could it be that there is a signing issue with the 2.2.2 sbf that is preventing your update?
