Getting banned?

As a moderator/administrator for another, unrelated site, I can tell you, modding and what not keeps your hands full some days.

Hats off to the mods around here, the traffic level looks like it has been insane, and almost every new thread goes to 3-4 pages within hours. That can make for alot of reading. The site I work on is closing in on 40,000 members, but our traffic level is not as crazy as it would appear to be around here. So, I could imagine the mods here go nuts just keeping everything working smoothly. I am sure their duties are no different than mine on my site; Policing forums, checking new user sign ups, reading email, responding to same, stopping spam, and generally keeping the house clean, and maintaining the friendly atmosphere.

I have checked out a couple of the other Droid related forums, and I like this one the best.

All in all, the members here do a good job at keeping the peace as well. Once in a while we have to swing the big stick at them, or threaten. :icon_evil:

The Staff here try to do the best job possible, and still be fair. Sometimes we make mistakes, and we are big enough to realize it too. Even this thread won't get the OP banned As long as it is kept within the guidelines we have set up for the forums. We like to keep this place as family oriented as possible too.

The way to get banned here is to SPAM, Flame others, Bad Language, Inappropriate Pictures, And we don't like to see anyone bashing members or other forums. This is not a fight club Its a place for us all to share/learn about our Droid Devices.

Speaking of banned, if the mods had banned someone for posting a new 2.1 thread when 200+ were already opened this forum would be less crowded.:icon_ banned: I may open a new 2.1 ota will be pushed tomo thread.

We'd also have 200 less if a certain contributor didn't open a thread on every subject they find an answer too. This person show remain nameless.
