Señor Chevy, the ulv kernel works but I get random reboots here and there. Haven't done anything special, but then again my phone didn't play nice with the lower ones for 2.1. So I will give the lv ones a shot and let you know how it goes! So far my experience with your is superior to the three others I have tried right from the beginning! Keep up the good work and have a Stone IRS from me!

Thanks! Yep, I'm betting the LV will work just fine for you ...

Thanks again Chevy, but ULVs are not for me. Usually looped at the M but go the Droid one time and a few seconds into the bootanimation another time. But that's it.

Nice touch working these up though, for those that can use them.

quick question.. I had downloaded the first leaked 2.2 and the 1k kernel. my phone ran really hot at any speed setting, even at 400hz when loading web pages in a few different tab, so I went back to my 2.1 back up, then the 2nd leaked 2.2 came out. with the working 600k kernel, I tried it and it ran cool, not super fast, id say a little slower to scroll pages and stuff then my 2.1 at 700hz that never over heats. but .gif's work now, so that wass prob what made it laggy. the message boards I post on always have a few in sigs and stuff.

now I just download your 4.0 rom and it feels great and looks good, real snappy and I checked setcpu and it shows 600hz default so I left it. but I'm noticing the heat like I was before. no cpu temps but feels like it jumps quickly. id guess into the 120s judging by how it felt before when at that temp. and on the first leak it killed my battery quick when it was building all this heat.

any chance a higher voltage would help me, I show no other issues that I know of from the ulv.

I'm not sure which one to pick mostly because I don't know the difference between the 1.25 and the 1.2. Which one will give me the most speed?

..well um. 1.25 has .05ghz more speed. Not really noticeable I'd say.

Ok I am just going to go with the 1.2 then. I'm backing up my rom right now and will be testing SS and the new kernel soon.

After installing the SS4.0 and then you also have links for new kernals, like LV and ULV, do I just change those to update.zip as well and run it like I did for SS4.0. The file size is dramtically different so I wasn't sure. Thanks.

No, the kernels are 'update.zip' format ... so you install them, unlike SS4.0 which was a nandroid and had to be extracted ...

Any reason all the Froyo kernels are being built as 7 slot and not 5?

Was wondering how long it would take for someone to ask ;)

Actually, the base kernel code for 2.6.32 now has 7 slots enabled instead of 5 ... and to be honest, not sure why anyone would choose 5 slot over 7?? There are no technical benefits, or any otherwise that I'm aware.
