General ROM question

Just a quick question that I've been wondering, if I make a backup and install a new rom and decide I want to go back to my backup, is it as easy as restoring the backup? Does restoring a backup clear data and cache effectively? Just curious. Thanks!

Yep it's really that easy! If you're worried about the cache you can do a factory data wipe but it's really not necessary for restoring.

If you're worried about cache you can just clear cache (without a wipe).
