I wore it in the direct sun for a few hours yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that black metal in direct sunlight didn't get hot. The only part that got uncomfortable was the part where the silicone adapter touched my arm but with it being only the adapter and not the entire band, like the oem or other silicone, I never felt like I wanted to take it off. The oem style ones are very uncomfortable for me when kayaking or other direct sunlight activities for hours at a time bit this one wasn't overall.
