I had been using Panda home, but tried DXTop today and like it a lot better than panda home. Give it a try.

I accidentally did a finger stutter, hit the default checkbox and then selected 'home' instead of pandahome. How can I get pandahome (or any of the others) back as my default?

That's what I tried first, but there's no "home" in the list of apps?

Open home has a screen shot feature which comes in pretty useful every now and then.

I found a quirk with GDE. When I pressed the button for Applications, it came up, but had up to 8 of the same things. Some had 3, others had 1 and others had 5. Each was the same, just multiple icons. That wasn't happening with either Panda or the original. Has this happened to others?

In looking at the reviews for OpenHome, it sounds like the application forces close a lot on the Moto Droid, is this the case?

Yes, OpenHome has some serious stability issues on the Moto Droid right now. Stick with Panda/GDE if you dont feel like dealing with constant force closes.
