Anyone else having problems with the Gallery not working?

I just restored the data through Titanium Backup, pictures are all there now if I click through the Gallery....but....

There are no pictures if I try to attach a picture to an email though through K9, I can go through the Gallery and share the picture first and then it works through email...Strange.

I'm really not sure my gallery acts strange too. When i switched roms my gallery was not recognizing any pictures, so I rebooted like 10 times then mounted my sd card, added some pictures, and rebooted probably 10 more times and out of no where it started recognizing them. So I'm sure that's not the answer you were looking for, but that's what I tried lol. Now that I think about, I think my gallery started recognizing my pictures after downloading an icon pack. I downloaded them from my droid, I didn't mount my sd card to my pc.

    Hey guys,

I know this is an old post but got to it as I had the same problem. I have now managed to fix it and hopefully it will help you and others with it.

Test if its a hidden file problem:
Install Quickpic, which is a great photo app, works fast too, and also shows you if there are any "hidden" pictures. If this is the case then you need to install Root Explorer (your phone needs to be rooted).

    Fixing the problem
    1. Install Root explorer
    2. Browse to your picture folder (on the San Francisco it is the DCIM folder).
    3. Long press on it and change permission. For some reason the change in permission is what prevents other programs from finding it.
    4. Allow user to read, write and execute the files.
    5. Check if your pictures are being detected now

    Job done!

    Hope that helps dancedroid
