Gallery keeps force closing

Hey,
I've been having this same problem and the first post seems like it will work but just curious--when the user said "wipe data" did he mean "clear data"?
I'm pretty sure that's what he meant but I just want to make sure cause I'm a little nervous that all my pictures will be erased if I hit "clear data".

If anyone could respond ASAP that would be great & thanks for all your answers!

I've not seen the Motorola gallery crash under GB like it did under Froyo. Maybe they fixed it in 2.3.3?

SDrescan

I was having this problem, and none of the fixes posted here were doing the trick. Get a little app called SDrescan. It is meant to rescan your storage, but by sheer luck it fixes this problem too. It takes a little time to run, and what it seems to be doing is rebuilding some kind of database(s), probably something related to the images/icons on your phone. Well, it totally fixed everything for me, and I was at the end of my rope, ready to factory reset the whole thing. Thanks, SDrescan.

By the way, I have a Galaxy S2 with ICS 4.0.3.
