Galaxy Tab 10.1 wil be 4G LTE Enabled

Verizon Wireless and Samsung Telecommunications America (Samsung Mobile), today announced the 4G LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 10.1 will be available on the fastest, most advanced network in coming weeks. The slim and sleek Galaxy Tab 10.1 debuts with Android™ Honeycomb and will be available in either Metallica Gray or Glossy White. Customers will be able to pre-order the device online on June 8 at www.verizonwireless.com/galaxytab4glte. When the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 hits Verizon Wireless stores this summer, it will be accompanied by an array of optional accessories such as a full-sized keyboard dock and a multi-media docking station.

It's a shame that the Xoom was "the first LTE capable tablet," but this is going to knock it right off the pedestal because it's going to be coming with it, not just be an upgrade at a later date.

Glad I returned it for the WiFi version lol

If I was a Xoom owner still waiting on LTE, I'd be pretty peeved right now. I'm sure the weasels covered themselves in the contract, but you wonder at what point Moto/VZW should have to honor a return.

Might not advertise it, but I bet if you went in and raised a holy stink they'd swap you for the Galaxy Tab, maybe with a re-stock fee at worst.

at $75, I'd definitely take the restock fee over a 3G only Xoom. If they did this, they'd probably say something like "No returns for rooted devices" .. A lot of this community would be P.O.'d at that.

There is a guide somewhere for a "Do it yourself" upgrade to 4G lol .. you just have to take it apart.
