LOL @ $800

Not a chance. More like $599 or $650.

Why do people use EMEA (europe) pricing? It's never equivalent. I would bet bottom dollar this phone won't be $799 off contract but more so what I stated above.

The Thunderbolt was $649.99 off contract when it came out. I don't see this phone going for anything below that. In addition the iPhone 4S 32gb is $749.99 and the Bionic is $589.99 on Verizon's website right now. I really don't see this phone launching less than $699.00 for the 32gb version.

so long as it stays in line with the previous Nexus models, a Verizon Nexus will draw HUGE dev attention. I imagine even more so than the OG Droid, only because there are so many more people and devs wanting to learn about this stuff. Should be some awesome stuff coming...

I for one will be looking to upgrade my Themer's badge to a Developer’s badge once this phone drops. Currently I have made two ROM's for personal use for my Thunderbolt, the first one did not go so well but the second one is ok.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say $250-16GB $300-32GB

550-700 for full retail.

I remember my dad paying $700 for for a cell phone back in the early 90's... on contract.

Heck, the brick phone retailed for $4,000 in 1970's dollars!

I believe I paid 1000 for my startac back in the day.

I wonder what the subsidized prices will be?

I hope it isnt 16GB for $300 and 32GB for $400, or more.

Safe bet....Is $800 the price for the 16gig or 32gig? My math says phone used to retail for $600 and VZW would offer for $199...With LTE they started bumping that $249-$299. I think we might very well see the 32gig for $349-$399, unfortunately. And that will cause me to look long and hard at the RAZR.

I am betting on the 16 gig offered for 249. The 32, if offered, will be 299 or 349 I bet.

i hate the 16gig 32gig thing because they charge 100$ extra for what costs them next to nothing more at the time of build. that and it just shows them copying apple in one more way.

i got a 32gig card from a buddy for 15$ just because he had no use for it. thats what i see as a good thing for having the port. not that i'm even going to carry around a extra card. just nice to not be screwed out of 100$ for something that costs like 20.

blah.

cloud is ok i guess for a work around, as long as you're on a unlimited plan. but trying to load all your videos and music up there for daily use, will cost you a ton, or you can only get to it while on wifi.

either way, i still have 16gig card in my og droid, and with all the backups and stuff over time from flashing roms around, i probably use a good 4gig just for that, throw in videos/pics i've taken that i like keeping on the phone and pretty much no music. like 6 songs or so and i run about 2gig free most of the time. so with this one, i'd like having the 32gig, but getting back to 399$ plus all of verizons fees and crap, i wouldn't get out of the store for under 450 on a 2 year contract with a phone that will be current for 6months, just seems really really over the top money wise.

I dont see any way that they charge more for the RAZR or GNex than Apple charges for the iPhone. If they try to charge more than the iPhone, that will def turn people away from it and make them strongly consider the iPhone rather than going droid
