Meh... Stop it with the keys, if you want a test try an exacto knife or maybe even a two minuite tussle with steel wool. In any case, im more worried about the drop test then the scratch one. im a screen protector guy so scratches arnt going to happen. I dislike how the battery covor comes off though, it seems kinda cheap looking expecially how you have to take a minute and press all corners in. im use to the slide in D1 covor which is pretty exact.

No joke, I went in to look at the RAZR on launch day and naturally the sales woman followed me like she was attached. I noted to my girlfriend jokingly that it had a Kevlar back on it like it was supposed to stop bullets. The sales girl made an almost too serious face and commented, "Yeah it's so strong that if you had it in your shirt pocket and got shot, it would literally stop the bullet!"

She may or may not be right, but I don't think that's something I trust Motorola enough to test.

Anyway, the how to commercials were decent teasers but I liked the actual commercial, although it was very iPhone-esque; nothing wrong with that though of course. I like how they show the girl on the bench eating an ice cream sandwich though. :)

Hes not being sarcastic, dont you see it? look very closely, its the new Iphone 5. Obviously they went a little literal with the retina display but who cares right? you dont even need a screen anymore, you can just see the images straight from your eyeball.:rofl3: Not sarcastic at all.

Nope, I actually like the image but some people found it gross . I thought it's a good example of how things that you'll never see with a naked eye can be seen when zoomed in .

a little off topic, but I saw the full gallery of all those close up eye pictures awhile back, I don't know why but it almost makes me want to throw up. It's just an eye but something about it that close it revolting to me.

is the screen RGBW or RGBG? I'm guessing based on the look it's RGBG?

    looks like it's RGBG...

Therefore, no matter how high the resolution, colors will occasionally looked washed out. It'll be like the Razr with less pixelation. Not necessarily a bad thing - the fanboys will claim it's full of "depth" and "pop" and the haters will say it looks "cartoonish" and "oversaturated". Both will be true depending on what you're looking at...

and white's won't be real bright, they'll have the similar green/gray tint like the Razr...

Not bothering me at all. Some people, I have to say, are honestly getting to the point of asking too much from devices. This is a phone, people. Not a laptop, not a desktop, not a plasma television on the den. Seriously, the amount of nitpicking about this is almost to the level of iPhone discussions.

Here's a rule of thumb. You don't like it? Fine. That's why there are other phones. Pick what you like. It is absolutely not necessary to sit there tearing something apart. Especially if you still haven't even seen the real thing in person. For the love of God, people.

I'm simply trying to point out potential shortcomings as I believe people's expectations are too high - similar to the Bionic awhile back.

Oh I wasn't pointing that comment specifically at you, more at the overall. The longer it is taking to come out, the more people are finding things to nitpick on a device they haven't seen in person. Let the thing hit the shelves and actually put hands on it and THEN start nitpicking. Pictures, videos, those are all worthless.

I diagree, I think people knew the Bionic was going to be a pos before it launched. This, not so much. Will it be perfect? No. Most of here are pretty level headed and understand what to expect with this device. To the majority of us that are waiting on this phone and watching these forums closely, our expectations are right in check.

The only thing that matters to me here is that the display is better then the D1. looks better to me, so its an improvement on what i currently have, i wouldnt notice if it could be better because im coming off a 2 year old device.

And I gotta disagree with you here friend :) If people thought the Bionic was gonna be trash, they wouldn't (Including me) have bought it. I love mine, sure it has the glitches, but I have faith the patch will correct these glitches.

    Very true!

I don't know, there was some pretty hefty predictions / expectations for the Bionic, just a lot of angry people about the wait. But you're probably right. I like to think of myself as a realist, but my wife says I can sometimes be a "Debbie-Downer"
