Samsung has been dominating the global market when it comes to most devices sold. One reason for that is they sell plenty of cheaper Android devices in emerging markets. The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is a super popular budget device in Asian markets. For such a cheap device it has some pretty nice specs. It includes the Snapdragon 410, Android 5.02 Lollipop, a 5mp camera, and LTE connectivity. These budget device rarely see developer support. The Galaxy Core Prime may start to see some developer support thanks to TWRP being recently ported to the device.

It is pretty simple to flash TWRP on the device. Once you have flashed TWRP you can flash the supersu.zip to gain root access. With TWRP you will also be able to flash any roms that may eventually be released for the device as well as make a full nandroid backup in case you ever need to restore your user data. Head to the link below for downloads, and an install guide.
