That text message you receive does not go against your text messaging plan (if you're not on unlimited).

From what I've read on the Market Place the My Verizon 'app' is nothing more than a link to their mobile website.I'm not going to bother installing it. It would be nice if Verizon built an actual app that immediately displayed all the usage info. That would be very handy for those not on unlimited plans.

vz texted me back said as of 1/17 i've used 3669555.31KBs so just under 4 gigs, I think i've had the phone less then a month. mostly from streaming audio. I like to listen when I'm doing stuff around the house and a lot of times I fall asleep with some audio playing, though usually i have it on a timer.
