I have a friend who is close to developers and he gave me a little scoop. After "Jellybean" the next os will be "Key Lime Pie".
Unfortunately that is all I can say and you don't have to believe me. This is what was told to me, and I cannot give you any specifics.
Not looking to debate or argue, but when it happens you can say you heard it here first!

If the android operating systems ever make it to a dessert starting with the letter Z, then maybe they will start over with A then B for bacon. It's probably not going to happen any time soon if ever:(

No, that would be totally preposterous.
    C would be Canadian Bacon.
    Duh... :)

The letter Z will be Zebra Cakes, I have an inside source at "Little Debbie's" and that person gave me the low down.

That would be sweet! Is zebra cakes considered a trademarked brand though?

Yep, kinda obvious. If you google, deserts that start with k. You get a ton of random languages, and key lime pie, i'm guessing Google will go with English! ;)
I must say, it's a mighty fine name! It could also be followed by a lemon meringue pie! ;)

According to What is Next to Froyo? Android 2.3 (or 3.0) might be Released by Fall of 2010 here are the upcoming features of Jellybean:

    Android 2.6 (Jellybean)
    Release Date: Spring 2014
    Features:
    -Emits powerful Nordic pheromones
-Automatically screens calls based on other party’s attractiveness
    -Vibration mode causes spontaneous conception
-Phone numbers replaced by targeted ads

Interesting; here's what they said about Ice Cream (Sandwich):

    Android 2.5 (Ice Cream)
Release Date: Winter 2013 (we're getting it early)
    Features:
-Automatic privacy screen when browsing pornography
-Valid form of ID in continental US and parts of EU
-Calls your mother on her birthday
    -Native CueCat support

And they predicted the next one would be Krispy Cream (and not Key Lime Pie):

    Android 2.7 (Krispy Kreme)
    Release Date: Summer/Fall 2015
    Features:
-Charges via self-righteousness from not owning an iPhone
-Built-in speaker automatically plays Sade when in vicinity of love-making
    -Transforms into an actual android
    -Divides by zero

Looks like almost everything is coming early. Wow, that's an old article. Sometimes it's nice to look back and see what was predicted:)

I heard that K will actually have a bio-electric sensor API and can be used for functions related to end-user mood or state. One application being kicked around is linking it with the "in pocket detection" sensor to have the phone sense when the owner is sexually frustrated. The phone can then automatically switch to vibrate mode and repeatedly call itself once placed in the front pants pocket.

Damn those Google folks are smart!!

So, am I the only one who remembers reading something about it being called Key Lime Pie...months ago from a "credible" source at Google? I believe it was in some article on one of the android sites. Not trying to knock anyone, as connections are relatively easy to make these days, but this info/rumor has floated around for a while. Little advice though: When trying to build your own credibility, never say "I can only tell you this"/"You don't have to believe me" or any such variation. Politician Speech 101 right there.

However, I DID just think about how much fun it would be to actually work at Google with Android and smack people with "insider knowledge" around in the forums for a couple of hours a week during downtime. I wonder if Google employees kick around these types of forums and websites and have a good laugh every once in awhile.

And sorry if this sounded like a jerk post, I promise you it was not intended to be. Just my thought process typed out.
