I have a rooted Moto Droid (Original) and i wanted to know if it was possible to do a full copy to my PC for back-up purposes. I am rooted running UD Froyo extreme 8 BUT i may switch to UD froyo 1.0.0 for Driod 1. I was considering buying a 32 gig micro SD but i don't want to go through the process of having to re-root and download all of my apps and music and such and its good to have a back up or two just to be safe. For this i mean not only the SD card but the System files as well, if thats even possible. Any help would be appreciated Thanks

Couldn't you just do a nandroid backup and put the file on your PC?

Would that be the same thing? I Know nandroid copies almost everything but will it transfer to a new SD?

I believe if you do a full one its a full system copy. My old D1 headphone jack broke so I made a nandroid, copied the file, then unrooted and sent my phone back. I got a new D1 and quickly rooted it, wiped all data and did a nanadroid. It seemed to bring me right back to where I was...

Correct! I believe the ONLY thing that isn't backed up in Nandroid is the baseband.
