The upgrade offer is if your contract ends in 2010. Or if you have an annual upgrade(primary line) you could get it for $199. But again that is annual so you would have to wait till December!

I called Verizon today and the full price the rep give me was $569. She was more than willing to sell me one but she had a lot of trouble trying to add the phone to my order. Some other rep try and he had the same issue and told me to wait until midnight of the 14th to order :\

The price of the phone is listed on the VZW site $529. Full retail on the Droid is still higher at $559.

You can't take advantage of the promotion going on if you already upgraded inside 1 year. After the 1 year mark they start letting you do some fun stuff.
