I have been working on this for about 4 hours last night and about 4 hours today, guess im about to give up. One last try, help is GREATLY appreciated! My phone is a Sprint HTC Hero. It is rooted (that was easy). Says its rooted and runs rooted only apps. What I am trying to do is load a custom rom. I have Rom Manager Premium v18.104.22.168. When I try to use it I get: Error while downloading from server. Please make sure that you have a stable internet connection and that your SD card is inserted and has free space! I am connected with wifi and it works with other apps. My SD is 8 GB and has nothing on it. So I try Reboot into Recovery (Rom Manager second option down) I get a little phone with I triangle and red exclamation mark that stays on no matter how long i wait. I push some of the buttons and I finally get into Android system recovery. My options are: Reboot System now Apply sdcard: update.zip Wipe data/factory reset Wipe cache partion In the bottom in yellow it says : E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command If I do Apply sdcard:update.zip (I have update.zip rom on sdcard not in folder) I get: Install from sdcard Finding update package Opening update package Verifying update package E: signature verifaction failed Installation aborted. I really want this to work, but I am about to give up! Any help would be GREATLY GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! FYI: Side note not sure if it matters but I do not have any phone service, didnt pay for it, got cut off, lol. Do have wifi. Home button doesnt work on phone for some reason (hasnt for a long time) I will be checking this post every few mins until I get a reply! Thanks again!!
