I flashed back to Froyo awhile ago for tethering reasons and am now trying to update back to Gingerbread and the update just keeps downloading and downloading over an over and restarts and i am still on Froyo. Any advice or links for a one click update? Or should i stay on Froyo and put a new rom on it? Whats best? Thanks all

You can just sbf to gingerbread. Here's an easy sbf with an option to root after the sbf all built into one file http://www.droidxforums.com/forum/d...-solution-your-windows-rsd-lite-problems.html use the 605 iso in that link. There's a video with instructions in that link also. You'll also want the new baseband which you can flash in clockwork recovery using your bootstrap app and since a baseband can only be flashed on froyo your good to go. Here's the baseband zip http://synibox.info/synik4l/razorloves/1.09.13P_baseband_updater.zip you can flash that right now, no wipes required. Just make sure to flash it before doing the 605 iso sbf because the sbf itself won't give you that new baseband.
One more very important thing, don't install the newest OTA update which is 4.5.621 because there is no root method available yet for that so you'll be screwed.

Very nice, thanks. Is there a way to tether the 605 yet?

Yep you just need to install wugs tether patch http://www.DroidXForums.com/forum/g...8-wugpacked-gb-tether-patch-all-one-zips.html you flash that in clockwork recovery no wipes required. It's very easy takes about 2 minutes. Im not sure what bootstrap app you have but droid2 bootstrap is recommended when your on gingerbread, its just an updated version of droidx bootstrap. You can still use droidx bootstrap on gingerbread but before using it you'll need to go in your settings > applications > development and make sure usb debugging is unchecked or it won't work. That's why droid2 bootstrap is recommended because you can just leave usb debugging checked.

You don't need rsdlite if your using the sbf method i gave you a link to. Did you watch the video in that link? If you want to sbf the old way using rsdlite then you need is in this link https://sites.google.com/site/motosbf/ i've used rsdlite 4.9 without problems. I recommend you sbf using the method in the first link i gave you but it's up to you. If your gonna sbf using rsdlite you'll have to use the sbf file in this link i just gave you.

Froyo to ginger bread? What it seems so weird...so what do you wanna do? I thought you are telling about a literal froyo to gingerbread, but now after I read it I fully understand that you are referring about down loading...ok aside from that do you know audio video installation texas?
