If a2sd is complaining about not being on my ROM - something else you've done has jacked up your settings. Run 'rstprop' and reboot ... should work then.

yea sorry i was hoping to update my post before you saw that, cause i made the mistake of not reading everything in the first post. That worked fine but the problem with installing apps is still a problem.

ok, got rstapps to work. i installed my default adw launcher first and then restore completed. Not sure what caused that?

    Chevy,

I'm currently running CM 5.0.7.1 with apps2sd enabled and most of the apps are on that extended partition. If I understand correctly, the Froyo roms use an entirely different apps2sd partition. So I'm thinking I would need to:

Use Rom Manager to make a complete backup of current rom.
Move all my apps back to internal memory.
    Delete the current extended partition.
    Format the sd card.
Use your script to backup apps.
Use Titanium to back up data (game data and sms messages)
Use Rom Manager to install SS with included LV kernal. (and wipe everything)
Use your script to restore apps
    Use TB to restore data.

I don't mind doing all of the above, just want to know if anything is overkill or unnecessary.
