No, on your phone - /data/app/

The 4.2 install will install maps, as long as it doesn't find it in /data/app ... so wondering why it's not installed

My wifi keeps disconnecting. Is there a solution for this. It was like this in 4.1 but not in BB. Its literally the only bad part of this ROM for me. Good work chev!

    I had wifi issues too

when I switched form BB to SS. Try this boot to recovery and wipe data and cache again then boot in again and log back into google and your other accounts and see if it fixes wifi. Something was hangin around from BB on my first install and it caused wifi to bounce off and on alot.

I hope it works for you did for me.

Forgive me here if I sound dumb... Noob here... I have Chevy's Froyo SS 4.1 running and it's gorgeous. Was so timid to even root my phone. I've done it succesfully and am so happy I tried it. Great work Chevy!! I absolutely love this Rom. Works almost flawlessly.

My question is... There's a bunch of apps running that I think are draining my battery.. apps I don't even us. Is there any way to uninstall them? Because I wanna uninstall facebook, news/weather, visual voicemail... etc. I can't uninstall them regularly.

I think it has something to do with running scripts? Except... I'm not sure how to do that... can anyone help me? I wanna uninstall the unused apps.

    Thanks so much!!

EJ, thanks for giving SS a try! The scripts to do what you want are listed in the OP (original post). ie, mvfb will hide/remove Facebook.

To run these scripts, you must go into applications, Dev Tools, Terminal. Then type in 'su' and you'll see the '#' prompt, then type in the command!

Hey chevy, any chance there's a script for news and weather? I never use it so I want to delete it. Also, what's google services frame? Just curious.

Thanks for the instructions! Managed to delete apps using terminal emulator. So easy!!

Chevy, do the reboot scripts work in 4.0? Have not updated cause got it themed to the max and have the apps 2 sd working etc. And love it to much to change it. If it does not is there a way to get them easily? Thanks for a great rom and great kernels and great support!
