seriously it may not even be worth upgrading to a new droid device that comes out unless its for looks because our droid can be pushed to 1.25 or 1.3 ghz and its stable and i am getting what froyo is getting in flops or whatever but when froyo comes out and having a custom version it will be like amazingly faster

Yup the Moto Droid product line will be the premier device for years to come.

I love the hardware that Moto puts out. In my opinion the build quality is second to none.

Motorola product will be the only equipment I will ever buy : )

Motorola just had a hard time merging from industrial equipment to the more commercial sector, it always had the 'rugged' look to it, then came starTac etc, razr, ..etc but always made a quality product.

2.2 Froyo on Rom Manager anytime soon?

I am currently in upstate NY for vacation, and saw 2.2 leaked. Does anyone think it'll be on Rom Manager shortly? I'm dying for flash! I don't have a computer with me so I have to do this all through my phone.

Well what else are you gonna get from a 2.2 rom that we dont already have in this version

The only thing i see missing is busybox for us to do custom themes, which im no dev, but id imagine is not hard to add

Which is why I, like several others, will wait until the dust settles and some of the inevitable bugs are worked out of the new-to-be roms; THEN I will d/l and install the new ROM. Upon perusing the Froyo News thread in Droid news, some of the bugs are popping up already.:)

I can honestly say I have had great success in the reliability and stability of all of the Motorola products I have owned; Not willing to make that statement because there MAY be something else coming down the pike that could rival it - not likely, but possible. Sort of like my affinity for HP computing products; very reliable, stable - only ones I buy FOR NOW ;)

I have given the new release try and it does have bugs but it is extremely fast. I did eventually restore a backup but I am going to go back to it until some more roms start coming out. Its worth giving a try especially if you have backups.
