Froyo or gingerbread.

    Well I can't decide froyo is built proven stability and just works with the og droid but gingerbread is new and its good to keep up with the new os but its not built for the droid

    Yeah some of the gb roms are buggy, but the devs are working on it! One of the best I have found so far is perfect elite 5.2,
    And there is a pe 6 beta release also that's been great so far!

    As always: test drive. I tried a few GB ROM's and didn't like the way any of them ran on my Droid. My Droid seems to prefer Froyo for smooth operation. YMMV, hence the test drive recommendation. If you're into custom ROM's and kernels then you should know that already.
