Ok, sorry for the lack of info in my first post, I was on the road and rushing.

I've been trying to install the bkapps.zip without any luck. I'm currently running Team Chaos Froyo if that matters. To date, all of my attemps have been with Rom Manager. I've tried booting into recovery and installing it still labled bkapps.zip, I've tried renaming it and installing it as update.zip. Nothing seems to work. Each time after a reboot, I've gone into Terminal Emulator and tried typing bkapps -c and I get the same response, "bkapps -c applet not found". I've also tried typing SU before but with the same results.

Am I installing this wrong? Am I missing something in TE?

Although any attemps at helping are appreciated, reposting the OP directions aren't going to help. I've reread them many times thinking I'm missing something simple.

    Chevy,

Has anyone else said anything about ROM Manager still showing the current ROM as 4.3 when everything else shows 4.4? I've reflashed numerous times thinking it was a glitch but it still shows as 4.3 ONLY in ROM Manager.

    And LOVE bk/rstapps BTW....

Where did I go wrong? When I run rstapps -c I get the following error:

/sdcard/SimplyStunning/apps/*.apk: No such file or directory /sdcard/SimplyStunning/apps/*.apk: No such file or directory

    Setting Permissions

    All activities completed! :)

And I have none of my apps. Total Buzzkill!!! Can I save this somehow?

Is there a red theme that would work on this rom?

hmm...you ran "bkapps -c" on your last rom before wiping right? not that I'm trying to accuse you of neglecting that step, but I think bkapps would create the file directory when you run the backup....

one way or another we'll get you through this, I'm positive :)

Roberj13 has a really nice RedLine theme for Froyo, but I doubt it'll work for SS....but here's the thing, if enough of us request it from him, I'm sure he'll be willing to do it: he did it with BlueEnergy...I think he just wants to be sure that it'll be worth his time, that enough folks will want it, you know? try posting your request on his RedLine thread and see if he replies...:)

JMT, you have been most helpful through this whole thing. I did run bkapps -c on my old rom and it said it backed everything up. I (fortunately) found a list of (most) of the apps I had so I I'm pretty much back to where I want to be. Lesson learned.

This ROM seems fantastic. Boot time is literally seconds for me, I barely get to enjoy the new boot animation. Screens are snappy and responsive. Love being able to run the custom script commands and the dev tools folder is a nice touch. Now if there were a black theme for it I might say its perfect. Great job Chevy, this is my first time using one of your ROM's.

Any themes for this? Not really digging the notification bar icons (3G/signal status/battery).

Jim, it seems you are in luck! 928Droid has just gotten his Black Glass theme running for SS4.4! I don't think it's posted in his OP yet (might be, but I'm not positive) but try going here: http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...froyo-update-zip-metamorph-back-stock-45.html

look at post #448 on page 45. the download link is there...I'm running this theme on my phone and though at first it ran miserably slow, I rebooted, reset my SetCPU settings, and it's now running Wickedly fast...
