This screenshot on the Verizon website shows FRG01b as the version of 2.2 to be installed as a part of the official update. Mandatory System Update: DROID by Motorola

Go us, we have the official version.

Good to know. Curious if this will be rolled out with a baseband update.

No baseband update with FRG01b. If there were one we would already have released it when we released it originally.

If there is no baseband update then why have alot of people updated to the newer basebands that were released with the orginal leaks? Where they just test basebands or something? Are you saying that the newest baseband that was leaked out is not going to be in the update when it rolls out for verizon? If this is so i am on the newst one which is C 01.43.01p should I revert back to the one that was released with 2.1 (i forget the numbers for it)
Sorry just curious as to why those basebands were leaked if we are not actually getting a baseband update with froyo from verizon

I have had better battery life with the older baseband 1.3E.03P than i did with 1.43.01P....so much so that i felt that 43 was unusable b/c my phone would be dead after a work day. I can get a full day of heavy use or a day and a half with moderate use.

What was ur signal like? I'm using the same baseband and my signal reception seems worse then it ever has been. If I want to load an older one, where can I DL them from?

I asked about the baseband because the one posted here seems to have mixed results for folks. I ended up downgrading.

yeah it seems people hav emixed results because with the newer baseband it seems i have more bafrs and a faster browser. Maybe i will go back to the one release with 2.1 just to test that again but the orginal froyo the browser was slower then 2.1 when i was on the 2.1 baseband. I upgraded and have more brs and faster browser

Didn't Verizon release similar media for 2.1 then end up officially releasing a different build last minute?

Yes. They delayed 2.1 and pushed a slightly different version in the end.

My Signal was much worse. With the older baseband i could make/receive calls in my basement...with the newer one it was hit or miss.

I am sticking with the older baseband for sure.

When you say busted, do you mean it doesn't work or poor quality?

Oddly enough, I've had no issue with Pandora. Don't know if it's because I'm a premium subscriber and stream hi-quality, or maybe I just don't have a very discerning ear.

Crazy. Still can't wrap my head around over how many have different issues while others have no problem, and especially how many seem to have SOME sort of issue with Froyo.

How so? I'm running non-rooted 2.1 and I use Pandora almost non-stop at work. I will NOT be a happy camper if Pandora doesn't work after 2.2 is pushed out. I assume you're using the latest Pandora version. If it IS broken with 2.2, I hope they are quick to release an update.

Broken for some...not all or even most. Probably is more of an app developer issue (as are other issues). I just can't imagine Google would roll-out an update that buggy otherwise.

    Installed FRG01B DeOdexed

RomManager - Busybox is in the "wrong" location. Any ideas?
Google search: Rom Manager refuses to fix permissions
Stock 2.1 rom rooted ROM Manager won't FIX Permissions - xda-developers
Android Forums - View Single Post - Problem with Rom Manager (premium) permissions
    http://www.droidforums.net/forum/koush/50820-rom-manger-wont-fix-permissions.html

What Worked: Downloaded Busybox (Droid Market) / installed - says it's the same as what's in system/bin.
Now Fix Permissions works with Rom Manager!!
