Fox Fi has been the go to app for free wifi tethering on mobile devices for years now. The big drawback to this app has been the fact that until now it has not been compatible for HTC device. That changed with the latest Fox Fi update. This app is now supported on the Droid DNA, HTC One and HTC One M8! Fox Fi uses a VPN connection to install a certificate to get around Verizon's tethering block. Fox Fi allows you to set up your device as a hotspot without paying the hotspot fee if you are an unlimited data subscriber. If you have a capped data package just keep in mind that this will use the data from your capped package so be careful with how you use it.

Weird, I've had this working on my HTC Droid DNA for the last 7 months or so.
