OK if ur getting a failed update on stock 905 then 1 do the following

Fxz the damn phone back to true stock

Or

Remove forever root it fails an update

Bootstrapped remove it an fxz

Safestrapped uninstall the recovery if ur on safestrap 2.1 an below fxz the phone

Removed bloatware fxz the phone

Custom animation remove it if u deleted the stock animation fxz the phone

Applied hacks other than sqlite editor hacks remove them or fxz the phone

For those that don't want deal with the the update process fxz it with the 246 ICS fxz here its the very bottom one

I had this problem. I did the fxz back to stock 905 then got the ota ics update and installed right away no problems. Loving ics

go to the link... watch the video. download the file. VRZ_XT875_5.9.902.XT875.Verizon.en.US_CFC_01.xml.zip. FXZ with rsd lite. Once phone is back up take the OTA to .905 then again OTA to .246 ICS.

back up all your apps and restore it once on ics if you dont want to start fresh.

time to snatch it. Had to use HOB during the soak cause i did something and soft bricked when i was on .246. wish i had it then.
