    I know that android phones will be getting flash early this year, but does anyone know specific release date for flash?

    Yeah, the adobe site says in the first half of the year, so what last poster said, now>6 months from now.

    I am looking forward to HTML 5 to stop us depending on Adobe's flash.... :(

    First half of 2010. So it's a big window, but a window at least :)

    the adobe site said 1st quarter before it said first half so it looks like its being pushed back....

    just like everything adobe does it will prolly get pushed back again. i hope it doesnt but they suck at the whole deadline issue.

    I agree, flash is a total piece of junk. The sooner it dies the better!

    Oh, I agree with this sentiment as well. But first of all, Adobe isn't going to let that happen easily, nor is Microsoft (Silverlight), and second of all, there are still websites built in HTML 3.0, so it will be a while before all the nuances of HTML 5 become widespread.

    In the meantime, we are stuck with Flash.
