Flash boot error

    motorola milestone android2.1
    ========================
    I wan't modify /default.prop. ro.secure to 0

    according to
    HOWTO: Unpack, Edit, and Re-Pack Boot Images - Android Wiki

    i'm modifed boot.img and flash ,reboot!

    bootloader display:

    err:A5,69,35,00,23。

    I heard that the Milestone has a locked down bootloader. That may be why you are having problems.

    But flash orignal boot.img is no problem.

    #cat /dev/mtd/mtd3 >/sdcard/boot.img

    edit and re-pack to boot2.img

    flash boot2.img error!
    flash boot.img no problem..

    so,i think something is wrong at re-pack boot img.

    on my milestone,i run follow commands.

    #su
    #cat /dev/mem>/sdcard/mem
    error:invalid length.
    

    I write a small C program.
    =========
    fd=open("/dev/mem",O_RDWR);

    for ...

    i=read(fd,buf,buf_size);
    =========
    i=-1 , always.

    But everything if on emulator is ok....
    (sorry for my poor english.)
