The phone came out yesterday and yesterday we got our first Custom Rom to flash on our Galaxy Nexus devices. This Rom was in the works long before the release of the phone, but yesterday it was updated to 4.0.2 just like our phones were updated to the latest version of ICS as we walked out the doors of the store and got into our cars. That is the best part of owning a NEXUS device instant updates! This is just an improved version of the Stock Rom. It looks and feels identical. There are no visual changes. However it has been tweaked and modified to give you an even snappier experience with improved battery life.

The latest version includes lots of enhancements. The new 3.0.9-mck-r3+ kernel is included with many CPU Governers, Usbdrive keyboard and mouse support, CIFIS support, Screen improvements, and more. Many Mods have been made such as Removed software rendering, fully optimized, fully rooted, newest busybox, ram optimizations, speed optimizations, tweaks to the data cache and system partitions mounting, battery auto calibrate, bloat removed, system apps updated, fully deodexed, and lots more.

Folks are reporting Outstanding Battery Life on this Rom. Also there are some add-ons included "Change CPU max scaling" helps with battery life, "Remove Samsung Default boot animation" to be replaced with ICS bootanimation, and "Remove face detection engine" if you will never use it. This Rom looks great and is just the beginning of awesomeness on this beastly device!
