Fastbooting back to stock question

Unless I miss my educated guess.....yes, a fast boot is equivalent to formatting a hard drive and then reloading windows with the OEM disk. It'll wipe your data and get you back to "outa the box" new

So there's absolutely no way I can upgrade to Jelly Bean without doing this huh.. urgh. Curse my past self for indulging in the moment..

You can root, use something like titanium backup to save your apps + data but if you restore back without doing this then yes, you would lose your data.
