We almost didn't post this story. Today has been filled with a ton of silly rumors, and we almost decided to skip this one. The above render of the supposed Motorola X Phone is so laughably bad it is practically cringeworthy (in execution - not necessarily styling). Still, we realized that sometimes this kind of stuff has entertainment value, even if it is just to laugh at whatever bone-headed fanboy decided it would be a good idea to pass this off as legitimate. As you can see from a precursory glance at this render, it is an unbelievably atrocious Photoshop job. First, the most obvious thing to note is the vacant aesthetic design without any speakers or defining characteristics in the casing.

Also, of course, it's not too hard to spot that the time in the Notification Bar is different than it is in the Motorola-style UI circles.

Perhaps we have to give a little bit of credit where it's due. The general shape of the device looks vaguely Motorola-esque, and is pretty attractive. Still, the rest of it is laughable at best. The overal design aesthetic isn't bad per se, and in fact would be a decent look, but the Photoshop skills of the "source" are what is questionable. There were even some specs listed along with the pic, but we aren't even going to bother sharing them, since they can't be trusted anymore than this bad picture. At least you can have an afternoon laugh...

What do you guys think? Even though it's an obvious fake, the overall look of the design isn't half bad. Would you like to see a real Moto device with a design similar to this?

I'd buy that design in a heartbeat.

The design is nice, but look at all the black space under the nav buttons. Wasted screen space IMO. Plus, its a motorola. They're going to have to do something amazing to win me back.
