ROM: voles-userdebug 2.2 FRFxx 33333 test-keys

ROM Manager informed me that this ROM won't allow OTA download of a new ROM (official Froyo?); so, I looked to manually install the official froyo.
Found FRG22; and tried to install that (following detailed instructions that were posted with it). After install, the Droid stayed in a boot-loop, just giving me the red-eye. Tried a few things; but, had to wipe back to factory settings, and restore from backup.
So, I am still on my voles-userdebug 2.2 FRFxx 33333 test-keys, which would be fine, if it would allow OTA. Any suggestions, please (and, thanks in advance!)?
