I had been faithfully using SPRecovery until I installed LGB and was blown away by getting over 49 hours run time from my first overnight charge while running at 1000mhz with Raidzero's kernel, so I looked into the rest of Raidzero's offerings and decided to try his recovery. I really like being able to scan my sdcard for ROMs or kernels to install, and being able to charge while in recovery, at 1000mhz, with a color I can choose to be easy on my eyes. Really impressive. However, I switched back to an earlier backup that was made with SPRecovery from RZrecovery to experiment with an unrelated issue, and now I can't restore the backup I made of LGB from RZrecovery. I choose the backup that I named lgbw, made sure the * is present before all 4 restore options, choose perform restore, and I get the following:

    Processing backup images...
    Not flashing boot image!
    Not restoring data image!
    Not restoring system image!
    Not restoring .android_secure!
    Restore done
    (done)

Any thoughts? I could just do a fresh install of LGB again, but the real issue is that if I can't make a backup with this recovery, then all the great bells and whistles don't really matter.

It could be an md5 sum issue as rz doesn't use them anymore and I think spr does. Maybe try flashing the rz recovery again and see how that goes.

Good thought, but RZrecovery restored the backup I made with SPRecovery just fine. The problem is not being able to restore the one backup that made using RZrecovery.

What happens if you restore partial

Can you go install menu into /sdcard/nandroid and seeing if the files are present?

I did try changing which elements were selected to restore, and it didn't seem to make any difference. I tried three or four different combinations in all.
The backup files are in their default location:
    sdcard/nandroid/lgbw/rzr-BDSA-20110219-0038/
    boot (3.50M)
    data (134.72M)
    secure (196.53M)
    system (93.50M)

Those are the only 4 files in the backup directory. It is the only RZR backup I made, so I have nothing for comparison. All the dates are accurate though, I didn't get the 1970 dates that sometimes corresponded to an SPR error.

Move the backup into the nandroid folder. I'm pretty sure you are not supposed to have a lgbw folder like the way that you have it.

I can certainly try that, but I did not edit or change the folders, that is how they were saved by default with RZR.

Okay, I've been trying to create a new backup, then try to restore again after moving the RZR-BDSA folder out of the subfolder and into nandroid, but I've been stuck on dumping system for nearly 20 minutes now. Something has clearly gone wrong. I'm going to pull the battery, reboot, and try to reinstall RZR using terminal emulator. Last time I installed the update.zip version using SPRecovery, maybe the .img file will play nicer on my phone.
Never mind, the link to http://www.rzroms.com/droid/recovery/RZR-0.1.4.img is broken, according to Google.

Try wiping the partition you are trying to restore and try again. I don't think you had a bad flash..

Edit I have never had mine create a subfolder nor have I heard of anyone else with that problem...

I'm trying to restore to anything now, and I keep getting stuck. Here's what I get:

    Processing backup images...
    Flashing boot...
    Erasing /data...
    Unpacking data image...
    Erasing /system...

And that's where I have gotten stuck trying to restore the RZR backup I moved into the nandroid folder, and now I am also stuck there trying to restore a previous SPR backup that worked before.

I'm on 2.0. I'd like to download and install 2.0.1, if I could get a backup to run and my phone to boot
