facebook sync: very confusing. and no earphones!?

so ive been trying for 2 days now to figure out this facebook sync. ive search threads and tried to find fixes but nothing works. i can sync some facebook contacts but only a few will work. if i change the display options in the phonebook menu to display all, now i have people in my phone who im friends with on fb, but didnt originally have their numbers in my phone? but people i do have in my phone that have facebook it wont work with. the only thing i can think of is they have to have their number in their fb info. then when i try to delete the people whose numbers i dont want/need it tells me they cant but can be hidden which i cant figure out how to do. anyone else having this problem or know how to fix it!?

and how does a $600 google phone not come with a pair of earphones? kind of ridiculous.
