Facebook Contacts and my Droid 3

Hello to all,

Can anyone tell me how to stop my Droid 3 from bringing all my facebook contacts into my contacts on my phone. I do not communicate with most of these people from my phone unless I am logged into FB and I hate that they are all in my contact list.

So if anyone can help me figure out how to make them stop I would really appreciate it. I tried deleteing them and it told me that I can not delete them but I could hide them so I tried that with a few but within hours they were back.

Sign out of FB, and when you sign in again, it should say 3 options.
Choose "don't sync"

OK I tried that do I need to delete the FB App all together? I am not getting the choices when I log back in.
