This is what I ordered today, like to keep the slim and light profile of my S3, no extended batteries for me, plus I can keep the case and holster I use for my S3 now:

Mine will be here Monday, there are 15 reviews currently on Amazon, and each one gave it 5 stars, thats something you rarely see with batteries. Once my order arrives, I will give this battery a good workout.

I'm surprised to see such good reviews for a third-party battery, especially with several of them noting that it lasts as long as the OEM battery. Generally, the mAh on third-party batteries is quite exaggerated. I'll be curious to see some real world reviews from some folks here. It's definitely a great deal that I'll be jumping on if they're really as good as the Amazon reviews state.

I just bought it, I'll give an honest opinion after a couple of days use. $30.xx for two batteries and a charger (including shipping) even if they give me an extra 6 hours, they will help on those days when I leave my house at 5am and return at midnight on a motorcycle.

I received mine today. First thing to note, it says 3.7v vs. Samsung OEM 3.8v. No mah printed on the battery. Ill cycle it twice then do a side by side comparison from 100% ....my g/f's phone vs. Mine, streaming the same long YouTube video over 4g for 15-20 minutes.

Hmm, using the app "Disp Battery Information", my phone with the qCell is reading 3.55v on average. My g/f's phone is reading 3.88v.

Both phones are setup the same and have everything off except data (4G).

Edit...so the phone was running hot and air couldn't get a 4g signal even thtough the other phone was steady 4g. I even cycled mobile data a couple times. The battery temp was actually OK... I might try the other battery...but I'll probably return them. Might be all in my head though...

My Samsung battery reads 4.357v. Plugged into charger, and 4.25v not plugged into charger.

Cybertec69, did you receive your qCell batteries? What do you think? I'm considering sending mine back but maybe I'm being a bit too paranoid.

Check out this thread in the main forum: Extra Battery for your S3 with NFC

This is a prime example of why it's against the forum rules to start multiple threads on the same topic. Information gets spread out in different places, making it difficult to keep track of what answers are being given where. A single thread is always more beneficial to the entire community. :)

Is there a way to check if NFC works with just my phone. I've had the batteries for a day and they seem to last the same or maybe slightly less than the stock one.
Since I'll probably never use NFC (other than to check if it works) these were worth it to me.
I just feel better with a charged battery on me if I'm away from home for any extended period.
I fell asleep with my phone off of the charger, the phone was at about 88 percent, I woke up 7 hours later and the battery was at 70 percent. So in my phone they are worth about 35 hours of standby time (with the thousands of various setting combinations, it is probably impossible to test batteries in different phones and duplicate results.) At $15 per battery, I'd buy them again, regardless of how the NFC works.
