external speaker

I have a droid razr. I s there anyway I can change out the external speaker myself.

My speaker is busted. Sounds horrible. I dont want to send off for an insurion phone through insurance.

Are you referring to the "buzzing" or "crackling" during loud speech or sounds when the volume is maxed? If so, it's a known problem and some phones have it, others don't. Mine does but only on the highest volume setting. If I back the volume down one click, the sound is clean. Check to see if that is the issue. You may get it replaced, but there is a chance the new replacement will have the same problem.
