I would really love someone to come up with a modification to the existing email application that allowed us to put signatures (e.g. "sent from my android mobile device" or something similar) using the default email applications (I don't want to have to resort to K9 or Touchdown to get this functionality).

    This thread:

Issue 4588 - android - Email app should allow automatically adding a signature over Exchange - Project Hosting on Google Code

illustrates the frustration that some business users are having with the Moto Droid. If anyone comes up with a patch to the existing email application, I would really love to have it. Thanks for reading

Agree ... but in the interim, there are a few alternatives:

    • Touchdown (which I use to use; good but pricey and creates duplicate contact and calendar data)
    • G1 Exchange client hacked out by XDA Developers; supports html email, folders, signatures, etc. This is what I used after bailing on Touchdown. As this is only the Exchange client, I still use the native contacts and calender app.
