Evil Fascinate root issues

So i got replacement fascinate today and was going to root it like i did my last one, i downloaded everything as i did with the last one and it sat in odin for awile "initializing" im not rooted now but all i get is a phone and a computer with a caution symbol in between them. I just need a working phone and at this point dont care if i root.

Edit never mind, loaded everything on another computer and worked fine, now is time to figure out what is wrong with my desktop.

I had the same problem with my desktop as well, for some reason it would not accept the Samsung drivers when my phone was in download mode. But like you I switched pcs and was able to root everything i needed with no prob.
