Hi! In a few months I'm going to take a trip to Europe! I wonder if I'm going to be able to use my Droid X (Verizon) in Hungary, Poland and Germany !

Last week, my wife and I were in Montreal. We had phone service but no data. Prior to our departure, I called VZW. I was told that there is a plan but since we were only there four days it was not worth the switch. Therefore, if we made or received a call it was $.40 per minute. I was able to use wifi, in our hotel, for data. Interestingly, the VZW rep recommended using texting because there were no penalties.

I was in Germany for a week back in July with my Droid 1, and my phone did not work at all. No signal to call, no 3G. I even connected to WiFi at one point, and while it did connect, I could not send e-mails or go on Facebook. Won't even pretend that I know much about how the phones work, all I can say is mine didn't. Droid DOESN'T do Germany, yet.
