So, I know it is almost too early to ask, but just to get the ball rolling.
Root for ESE81?
Way too early to say, but we shall see, first Verizon has to not yank the release back like they have twice already, then they'll have to see if the update.zip exploit was patched and find a new way to root.
With ESE51 being rooted, I don't think rooting ESE81 will take much to do ourselves.
Seems like they would be shooting themselves in the proverbial foot by patching it. The 3rd party deveolpment is what is making the Android OS and the Doid such a success.
I read an article today that google is planning to make all their apps available through the market like they did maps, so we won't have to wait on the vendors in the future.
Here's hoping it's true!
The race is on to the first stable ESE81 ROM. I have my suspicion who will be the first.
well take koush and droidrom off the list, they both work from source.
so maybe chevy? the man is a machine with his updates.
Im guessing that is the wrong answer..... Sumthing is a brewin... and its not being talked about!:icon_ banana:
No surprise, i haven't been following the forums much lately.
10000 updates go out at midnight, lets see how fast one gets caught.ill be watching alldroid for the first rooted one
Be honest I don't see the appeal myself, we already have all improvements from motorola from the ese53 builds.
You can take google's build and add the ese53 hardware changes, which has already been done, all motorola did is assign it a unique build number.
I will be checking this thread out for it to be official that ese 81 has roots. I will not accept the ota until then (or another source leans to it having roots).
