Probably a dumb question, but I'm trying to get root access to my phone but whenever I try entering a command it says "error: device not found" in my cmd. How do I make it find my phone?

Make sure that in Settings > Applications > Development ... USB Debugging needs to be checked.

Let me know if that works for you.

Yeah it's checked. I'm pretty much guessing on how to do this whole thing though so I probably messed up somewhere. I downloaded the SDK and installed all that then plugged my phone into my computer and have just trying to adb reboot through the cmd but I don't know how to get it to find my phone. Any ideas?

Have you downloaded the Motorola USB drivers for Windows or whatever OS you are using, yet?

I'm pretty sure. I installed whatever USB drivers were in the SDK setup that I ran. Why is this so easy for everyone else lol?
