Just recently rooted my phone to 2.2 kaosfroyo, so I'm doing everything to my phone now to make it better.

First problem I've run into so far.. let my phone charge over night to 100%, went to recovery mode, wiped the battery stats, and then went to reboot.
Since then I've been at the loading screen with the 3 droids for about 10 minutes now. Any help? reasons? solutions?

    Thanks!

I recently updated the KaosFroyo rom from v37 to v38 on my Eris. With 37, I had no problems. With 38, the battery life seems to have been cut by about 30% and the native camera crashes and requires a force close. I tried the battery status wipe, hoping that would restore it's life. No difference. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Android ROM Site

The above link is to Conap's download page. His CFS kernel is now up to v8 and it's completely safe to flash.

When updating the kernel (especially since you've had battery issues) there are 3 very important things you must do:

    1. Wipe Cache
    2. Wipe Dalvik
    3. Wipe Battery Stats

Since the previous kernel threw all the battery calibration data out of whack, you'll need to wipe battery stats & discharge your battery completely a few times for your phone to re-learn how the battery is supposed to go. That will maximize battery life for you.
