Email problems

I'm having two email issues that I need some help with. First one email on phone and Laptop don't sync...if I delete email on laptop or keep as new it doesn't always sync with phone and vice-versa.
Second and biggest issue, I cannot access any sent mail on the Droid. Either mail sent from phone or Laptop...any help would be appreciated.

What are you using as email ? Gmail account ?

I'm not sure how the aol sync works. If you use Outlook, there are specific settings to leave a copy on the desktop even if you delete in phone. My advise is use a gmail account and push everything through there. I did that over a year ago and best decision. Gmail cab be accessed anywhere.
