Newbie here so don't get mad if question been asked and answered a million times already, I looked and couldn't find.

Ok I have verizon fios and I use yahoo as my choice for home. So I set up my email on my charge through the yahoo email icon, place email, password, it goes out and finds it asks pop3 or IMap, so i choose pop3 put in appropriate settings see below.

    1st try incoming - pop.mail.yahoo.com
    outgoing - smtp.mail.yaho.com

    2nd try incoming - pop.mobile.yahoo.com
    outgoing - smtp.mobile.yahoo.com

    3rd try incoming - pop.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
    outgoing - smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com

    4th try incoming - pop.incoming.mail.yahoo.com
    outgoing - smtp.outgoing.mail.yahoo.com

I did try all these settings with .com and .net. Now 1st try worked for a short time then stopped receiving emails, as the 3 try did also. Now I have tried all of these and I keep getting a cannot connect to server error.
Security settings have been changed from ssl to ssl except certs and also no settings, makes no difference.
Please any help would be greatly appreciated, aslong as its not try yahoo mobile app, or just use imap, sorry a little jaded since thats all the help i get from yahoo tech support and verizon.

    Thank you in advance.

I think you have to set up your mail to use the G-Mail. I had the same problems but it works now with G Mail.

If you have verizon fios, then it doesn't seem that your yahoo mail would be through a pop server but a IMAP account. You could install the Yahoo mail app from the market and all you would need to do is put in your email address and password. It will configure the rest for you.

You could also set up through your stock email program but choose IMAP instead of pop and you should be able to set up with just your email address and password.

Try using the actual email app that came with the Charge. I originally set my email up through the GMail icon, but found out you have a little more control (like pinch and zoom) through the generic email account that you hook to any of your other accounts.
