Email alert keeps appearing when email was read and even deleted!

I really hope someone can help as this is just unbearable, I've been woken up every half an hour all night by the notification sound and vibration..

Like I said in the topic I get new email alert .. go to notification bar and clear it .. in a little while it comes back. Even when I deleted this email it keeps coming back as new email then I click the notification it just takes me to the folder and the email is not there (because it was deleted). It's not been happening in the first few days after I got the phone..only started 2 days ago

Go to settings -> App Management -> select All tab. Scroll down to the email app you are using. Select it and then select clear data. You will have to setup your account again, but the annoying alert should be gone.

I had that too. i rebooted the phone a couple times and mine went away.

Im facing the same issue in my samsung galaxy s3. I tried deleting the email account and adding it again but it didnt work. Notification of the last email recieved keeps reappearing eveey 15 mins! Can anyone help?
