Somewhere between updating from stock 2.0.1 to Cyanogenmod 5.0.6.1/Helix2/swype some folders got created containing what appear to be keyboard icons. They show up in Gallery starting with the name "Drawable". I've been using Astro to try and find the folders to put a .nomedia file in them, but haven't been able to find them. Can someone id their location? Is .nomedia the right answer, or can they be deleted?

I got that from here (scroll down in the thread to find it):

Discussed here too:

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-themes/15862-notheme-file.html

Here is another thread about it..

http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dr...16022-gallery-displays-all-images-device.html

They suggested an app called the HidenSeek app , which probably creates the .nomedia file for you

Warning: I found this... that your jpg and gif files in that folder might be deleted:

http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3692

When a ".nomedia" file is added to a directory that has already been
scanned by the media scanner, any jpg and gif files in that directory and
all sub directories will be deleted.

So that hidenseek app maybe the best... I don't know.

EDITED TO ADD:

After all that -- I'm just as puzzled as you are. I can't find the drawable "albums" using any file manager (astro or androzip). Two are appearing in my gallery, showing the images from my HTC keyboard app, but, when I check for details in gallery... it says location unknown. I have a .nomedia file (which I downloaded from one of those threads I linked to), but where to put it, I don't know. I am willng to experiment (with possibly losing the htc keyboard image files) because I can always reinstall the HTC app. But, I cannot find even a folder which seems to contain the app anywhere (I find folders for other apps... but none that would be for that one). Very frustrating for now. Maybe someone has a solution.
