I'm new to this, but have spent the morning looking for an app for electrical calculations, such as wire size when distance and load are known, conduit sizing, etc. So far every one I have looked at either are for only 120 volts or higher, or use a lot more personal info than I am comfortable sharing, or are real awkward to use. I don't need to design electronic circuits, but mostly am using it for solar electric wire sizing for various voltages. Any suggestions?? Thanks for the help.

Electrical Tools & Reference looks pretty involved. You could shoot the dev an email and ask him some questions.

I have plenty of reference books, including pocket ones, but why carry a book when an app should allow it to be right there on the phone? None of them mentioned so far do what I want, though.

    Check this app out:

EWP 2014 Electrical Wiring Pro - Android Apps on Google Play

No funky perms. It is geared towards 120v etc, but it let's you type in whatever voltage you want.

I like it. Also has a handy ohms law calculator.

There is a free version that should have most of the stuff.
