I've read a few threads and a lot of it just seems over whelming to do what one would think as an easy task. Has anyone got an easy way to do so?

    Thanks

What clock are you trying to remove? I'm rooted and I do not remember what the stock clock looked like or where it was located. Typically, you just long press and drag to the trash can at the bottom of the screen.

Sorry I meant the clock in the menu bar along side the battery. I'm using the HTC Weather Widget clock and its annoying having two clocks.

You can run Home++. That'll remove the whole top info bar.

After trying just about everyoption combo possible I got xultimate to change my clock color to the elegant theme using the rgb method. Although I tried so many times I can't tell you how. It can be done though. When I'm in front of my pc I'll try to remember and post how.

You can turn the top info bar on (if you didn't know)

If it isn't already on, turn on the notification button:

Menu > Preferences > Power Strip > Button Preferences > check Notification Button

    Go back to Home

Hold down on the Notification Button, the Notification Bar appears.

    Turn Notification Button back off:
Menu > Preferences > Power Strip > Button Preferences > uncheck Notification Button

Now the notification bar stays when at Home

    omg i hate misinformation..

you CAN run xUltimate on 2.1 to remove the clock...

from the top of my head...

    do in this order
    option 1
    option 2
    option 15 (advanced menu)
    option 3 (in advanced menu)
    option 5 (in advanced menu)

im the reason they got it working on the nexus...

Haha there you go, I wanted to post this last night but was away from my computer and couldn't remember the order. xeodoxeus covered this in his faq's although he didn't specify anything about a 2.1 build.
